Hopkinton Economic Revitalization Zones (ERZ)
Hopkinton has two Economic Revitalization Zones (ERZ), one located along Maple Street around I-89's Exit 6, the other located closer to Contoocook Village, along Pine Street and Bound Tree Road.
What is an ERZ?
The Economic Revitalization Zone tax credit offers a short-term NH business tax credit for businesses that make investments in their infrastructure and create at least one (1) full time job in the designated ERZ area. Infrastructure investments can include new equipment, new construction, renovation, or expansion.
Watch a helpful presentation about ERZs from the director of the program, Bridgett Beckwith.
The two designated zones are in the Contoocook Village area and in the area surrounding Exit 6 off I-89.

Businesses proposing to locate or expand in the ERZ may apply to the state for a tax credit by February 10 following the tax year in which the upgrades were made.
Please contact the Economic Development Director, Anna Wells, to find out if your business is located in the one of Hopkinton’s Economic Revitalization Zones and for help applying!
